I can't imagine how difficult this has been for you all. I do know that Maria's strength in walking it out for her performance at school was a testament to her dad and the proof of being really good fruit off of a really good tree. I've been praying for you all.

duVal and I are deeply saddened to lose our dear friend. Eric and I began at Dewberry at the same time and continued to be friends even after we left the DC area. We worked late nights, we bowled together and even played on the team archiballs together..I remember Eric coming up with the name. Monica and Eric spent weeknds with us at shakespeare, art festivals, and point to point. Eric and Monica were there for our wedding, first child and we remember the first time they brought Fernando home! Eric was very happy and always had a smile, never complained, and just really loved people. I miss him terribly. duval misses fishing with him and golf outings. Monica, we will see you south and westward; know that we will pray for your peace that passes all understanding. God is with us all.

To the Snellings Family,

As I look back over the past 30 years, I keep thinking about that big grin that Eric always had on his face. It was a permanent fixture that everyone loved. That smile will stay with me forever. You're in my prayers.

Although it had been a while since I had spoken with Eric, I had thought of him recently. I have fond memories of our work together at Dewberry. He was a kind man, and always had a positive thought to go with that quick wit. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

I worked with Eric at Dewberry after graduating from Virginia Tech. He was so supportive and patient with me. He gave me the confidence to become a better designer. I think of him often and I try to be as good of a mentor to others as he was to me. I am so saddened to hear of his passing.
