Camdon Eakin Price Jr.

Camdon Eakin (Pete) Price Jr., of New Castle, born July 17, 1926, in Craig County, passed away at the age of 82 on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. Parents were Camdon Eakin Price Sr. and Bessie Givens Price. He lived a simple life on his farm in Craig County. His love for the outdoors kept him young at heart. Pete enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, hunting, his steam engine, rebuilding sawmills, and going to flea markets. During the day Pete could be found working in his tractor shed or at Sinking Creek Store visiting with neighbors. He will be missed by his very close friends, Noel, Kathy and Cam Huffman, Ronnie and Debbie Duncan, Doyle and Darrell Huffman, Gary and Joyce Medley, Mickey and Betty Medley, Jim and Kathy Dunsmore and two cousins, Fred Keffer and John Price and other cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 20, 2009, at 2 p.m., in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Ross Cemetery, Craig County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Simmonsville Fire Department, c/o Jerry Overton, Rt. 1, New Castle, Va. 24127. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Thursday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at McCoy Club Dr., Blacksburg.
