Curtis Anderson Obituary

Curtis Wright Anderson, 81, of Rocky Mount, Va., died Wednesday, February 18, 2009. He was born January 13, 1928, in Franklin County, Va., a son of the late Henry Lawson and Dossie Anderson. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Russell Anderson and James L. Anderson; sisters, Virginia Anderson and Sylvia Holland; and a brother-in-law, A. Dale Brown. Surviving are sister, Shirley Brown; sister and brother-in-law, Rachael and Kenneth Allman; sisters-in-law, Gladys Anderson and Yvonne Anderson; brother-in-law, Silas Holland; a special nephew, Lewis Anderson; and numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009, from Flora Funeral Chapel with the Rev. DeRoy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Thurman Family Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009, with his family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
