Mabel (Irene) Rock Harry 76, of New Castle, born January 11, 1933, in Waiteville, W.Va., died February 23, 2009. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the New Zion Union Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Rock Jr. and Leafy Jeanette Kessinger Rock. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Sidney Arnold Harry; three children: two daughters, Cynthia (Cindy) Lucas and husband, Danny, of Gap Mills, W.Va., Rita Kay Stebar and husband, Bob, of New Castle, Va.; one son, Justin Harry and wife, Debra, of New Castle; five grandchildren, Stacey Lucas Miller and husband, Kevin, Clay Lucas, Lydia Stebar and Reece Stebar and Heidi Harry; one great-grandchild, Payton Keen; two brothers, Cecil Rock and wife, Wyoma, of Roanoke, Va., Melvin Rock and wife, Jean, of Waiteville, W.Va.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Billy Harry, Willard and Dell Harry, Larry and Linda Harry, Opal and Johnnie Lawson, Gladys Givens, Shirley Miller, Blanche Gautier, Betty Stallard and Shirley Harry; aunts, Anna Rock Rayhill, Eva Rock Johnson, Alice Kessinger, and Odessa Kessinger; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009, at New Zion Union Church in Waiteville, W.Va., with Pastor Mark Smearman officiating. Interment will follow at Waiteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Paitsel Funeral Home.
