Tracy Vess Obituary

Tracy Cummings Vess, 46, of Lexington, Va., died Saturday, February 28, 2009. She was born October 8, 1962, in Lexington, a daughter of the late Ernest Oliver Cummings and Ann Turner Cummings. Surviving are her husband, Talbert M. Vess; two children, Jacob R. McCormick and Jessica M. McCormick, of Lexington; a stepson, Christopher M. Vess, of Lexington; a brother, Gary H. Cummings, of Denver, Colo.; and numerous special friends who provided love and support during these last months. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Short officiating. Burial will be private and there will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tracy Cummings Vess Memorial Trust Fund, Bank of Botetourt, 65 East Midland Trail, P.O. Box 711, Lexington, Va. 24450 or Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, Va. 24450. Arrangements by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Va.

Dear Talbert and Family,
I am sorry for your loss. I know you all have a long road ahead of you, but you all will make it through with each others help. I didn't know Tracy well, but would have loved to from the way the preacher described her. Please let me know if you all need anything.
