Willie Marshall Belcher

Willie Marshall Belcher, 65, of Vinton, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Belcher; his son, David and wife, Pam, of Vinton; his son, Michael and wife, Melissa, of Boones Mill; and his precious grandchildren, Sarah Renee Belcher, Laura Michelle Belcher, Benjamin Wesley Belcher, Logan Shane Belcher and Lea Rose Belcher. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dollie Belcher; brothers, James Leonard Belcher, Charlie Junior Belcher and Clarence Gene Belcher; and sister, Ann Belcher. Willie is also survived by his brothers, Marvin Belcher and wife, Gladys, of East Ben, N.C., James Belcher and wife, Wanda, of Yadkinville, N.C., Daniel Belcher of East Ben, N.C., and Donnie Belcher of King, N.C.; sisters, Bonnie Herndon and husband, Doug, of Lebanon, Va., and Judy Vandiver of Castlewood, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Willie had been employed with Roanoke Electric Steel / Steel Dynamics for over 25 years. He attended the Church of God in Roanoke. He is loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Lanny Carter, the Rev. Billy Cox and the Rev. Sam Belisle officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.
