To the Wills Family,

Please accept my sympathy in your loss of Alice. I worked with her for several years in the College of Education at VT. She was so special to me and a great mentor. She constantly strived to do her best in everything she did. She truly loved you all and spoke of each of you often and was so proud of your many accomplishments.
Years after leaving VT and now working for the school system I have had the opportunity to volunteer at the Christmas Store some during the same time periods as Alice and was so happy to be able to see her again. She certainly was a "genuine" person with a loving heart for her family and community. Though she never boasted about her years of dedication to the Food Pantry, Christmas Store and other various organizations, I know she definitely contributed a huge amount of time doing so. I feel truly blessed to have known her. May your precious memories of her help you get through this difficult time. Take care.

Wirt, Alice made such an impact on this community through her work with the food pantry and Christmas store. She will always be remembered for her care and concern for others. But, I will remember her caring for you and bringing you lunch on election days. She was such a pleasant person and I know you will miss her very much. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
