Madelyne Graybill Obituary

Madelyne M. Graybill, 92, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene (Gene) Graybill; and her parents, Clifford and Lula Bell Mawyer. Madelyne was a 67 year member of Bonsack Baptist Church and is survived by her daughters, Vivian Bolt Mills and her husband, Randy C. Mills, of Springfield, Va., Pattie G. Murray of The Woodlands, Texas, and her husband, Richard D. Murray; six grandchildren, Capt. Christopher E. Bolt and his wife, Shelley, of San Diego, Calif., J. Patrick Bolt and his wife, Cheryl, of Manassas, Va., Amanda Simpson and her husband, Jason, of Roanoke, Texas, Julie Forsythe and her husband, Byron, of Pinehurst, Texas, R. Bryan Murray, of DeBerry, Texas, and M. Grant Murray and his fiancée, Cammeo Mesana, of New York City, N.Y.; six greatgrandchildren, Ross and Hope Forsythe, Jason, Conner, Jeremy and Laura Bolt; two nieces, Peggy Trenary and Martha Houck, both of Fredericksburg, Va.; and one nephew, Buddy Mawyer and his wife, Pat, of Suwannee, Ga. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2009, at Oakey's East Chapel with Dr. Robert G. Moore III officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's East Chapel. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution, please consider the Bonsack Baptist Church, 4845 Cloverdale Road, Roanoke, Va. 24019. Arrangements by Oakey's East Chapel, Bonsack, 540-977-3909.

Vivian,
We are so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was such a sweet heart at Friendship Manor. We missed her so much when she got to go home. She used to tickle me to death watching her basketball games.
