Elsie Cales Obituary

Elsie Lefew Cales, 76, of Riner, Va., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 5, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Thomas LeFew and Bertha Roop LeFew; one half brother, Earl LeFew; three half sisters, Blanche Smith, Janie "Nancy" M. Semones, and Mary Clark. Elsie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jennings Cales; one brother, Archie LeFew; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday March 8, 2009 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Christiansburg with the Rev. Mike Vest officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. The Cales Family is in the gentle care of DeVilbiss Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1200 Grove Avenue, Radford, Va. 24141, 540-639-2422.

I am so sorry to hear of Elsie's passing.I remember my mother speaking kindly and fondly of her.Maybe theyre back together now,chatting:)

I am so sorry to learn of Elsie's death. I only met and talked with her one time, but she was so gracious and generous in sharing the Lefew family Bible and photos.
