Elizabeth Davis Obituary

Elizabeth Carol Miner Davis, 75, of Salem, Va., passed away Friday, March 6, 2009. She was born March 11, 1933 in Washington, D. C. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Rice Miner and Sylvia and Mario Canetta, two sons, John Mario Davis and Billy Wayne Davis and a brother, Robert Canetta. Elizabeth was retired from the Veterans Affairs Administration. She is survived by one daughter, Carol Duncan of Roanoke, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Donna Davis of Salem, Va.; two granddaughters Michelle Dunbar and Kara Willis; two grandsons, Joshua Delieto and Colby Walters; three great-grandchildren, Zachary A. Dunbar, Bradley J. Dunbar, Kelsey L. Dunbar. A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 3 p.m. at the Davis Cemetery in Wythe County with Kenneth Smith officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements by Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va.
