Garcie Hannon Obituary

Garcie East Hannon, 86, of Montgomery, W.Va., formerly of Roanoke, Va., went to be with Jesus on Friday, March 6, 2009. She was a member of the Harvest Ministries and a retired nurse's aide with Elder Care. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hannon; daughter, Wanda Hannon; five brothers; and one sister. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Homer McComas; grandson and wife, Brian and Michelle Patterson; great-granddaughter, Hannah Marie Patterson; greatgrandson to be (Patterson), all of Dunbar, W.Va.; her daughter, Brenda Trent, of Roanoke; grandson, Jed Coley, of N.C.; granddaughter and husband, Kim and David Hughes, of Tenn.; great-grandson, Evan Hughes; sister, Mary Johnson, of Roanoke; brother, E. Richard East, of Parma, Ohio; also are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Butch Hammed officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.
