Dear Bill and Family

I am sorry for your loss. Mrs. Ryan was such a wonderful women. I remember when I was younger and still in grade school, I would be sent home with fund raising booklets and Mrs. Ryan always purchased several things, even if more than one child would come to her. She would say that she had to support Shawsville and supporting the children in school was one of the best ways.

I have missed seeing her over the years, especially at the 4th of July Celebration. Seeing her bright smile would always make everyone else smile. I think the fireworks might just be a little brighter this coming 4th because she will be smiling down on us and celebrating with us.

Mrs. Ryan was a wonderful women and a wonderful neighbor in our small town of Shawsville.

To the Ryan family, we were so sorry to hear about Mrs. Ryan passing away. I personally have so many fond memories of her as we grew up, while in high school, and spending summers at your pool. Dad was just talking last night about how kind she was to our Aunt Grace when she volunteered at the hospital. Our whole family loved her. Your mom was such a kind lady to everyone. You will be in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this very difficult time. Pat and Maurice Myers and the Criaghead family.

Dear Rebecca, Bill, David and Sue....What can I say? Some of the fondest memories of my life were with your precious mother and you all. I have missed all of you so much over the years, and just this past weekend was thinking of Loraine and how much love she gave to everyone she knew. I will never forget her beautiful smile and joyous laughter. She hauled all of us kids around all over the place and never complained....she had as much fun as we did; and made more sandwiches than any woman I ever knew. :) Mother and Daddy thought the world of your Mother and Daddy and always had so much fun going to the Ruritan Club on Saturday nights to dance. I know they are all dancing in heaven now; young and healthy and happy. My deepest heartfelt condolences to all of you.

Love and prayers,

To The Ryan Family:
Loraine was one of the people who touched so many lives in the Shawsville/Elliston and surrounding areas. She never met a stranger and if you ever talked with her you had some great conversations and a lot of memories from those talks. I have not lived in the area for many years but I have stayed in touch with some of the people and it does saddened me to see us losing so many. But we all know that they are in a much better place than any of us without pain, and we will see them some day. To the entire family God be with you during this difficult time and I will keep you in my prayers.
