Donna Marie Dennis

Donna Marie Janney Dennis, 55, of Roanoke, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2009. Donna was a devoted wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She was a devoted Christian and member of Lakeside Baptist Church. Donna had a generous heart and was always doing for others. Preceding her in death was her mother, Verna Newman; Grandma Janney; and in-laws, Robert and Sis Dennis. Surviving is her husband, Rick Dennis; father and stepmother, Albert and Irene Janney; sister, Elizabeth Faye Woltereck; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Mitzi Janney; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Kinnie L. Austin,; brother-in-law, Gary Dennis and his wife, Linda; nieces, Marie E. Janney and Jessicia Austin; nephews, Christopher Woltereck, Anthony Lovern, Kinnie C. Austin and Timothy Dennis; great-nephew, Hunter C. Janney; uncle, Gordon Janney; special friends and sisters at heart, Linda Wertz Johnson and Rita Higginbotham; and her dogs, Precious and Bruce. The family would like to thank the staff of Roanoke Memorial Hospital, 8 Mountain MSICU and the 11th floor. The graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Art Hearne officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, and Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in the Roanoke chapel of Lotz Funeral Home.
