Robert Limroth Obituary

Robert M. Limroth, 72, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence F. and Marion MacIntosh Limroth; and a sister, Carol Anne Smordin. Mr. Limroth was a sales representative for the Pettibone Corporation, and later Kershaw Manufacturing. He retired as president of the Limroth Company. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, VISA (Virginia Inland Sailing Association) and Alcoholics Anonymous. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Judy Limroth; sons, Robert Mark Limroth and wife, Eileen, of Springfield, Pa., David Watkins, of Richmond, and Richard M. Limroth and wife, Kelly, of Smith Mountain Lake; grandchildren, Gavin, Gracyn, Christian, Gillian, and Evan; brother, David F. Limroth and wife, Jackie, of Bethany Beach, Del.; brother-in-law, Jacob Beshore, of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to South Roanoke Nursing Home, 3823 Franklin Road, Roanoke, Va. 24014. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at St. John Lutheran Church by Pastor Mark Graham. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2009, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.

Will always think about having more time together when I was a kid, but that was not our fate. Glad for what we had and happy you got to meet your grandchildren, who by the way are doing great. You would get a kick out of them as adults. They would make you laugh. Miss you.
