Kathleen Bishop Obituary

Kathleen Emma Cadd Bishop, 97, of Bedford County, Va., passed away on Tuesday evening, June 16, 2009. Kathleen was born in Buchanan, Va., on July 31, 1911, a daughter of the late Walter Lewis Cadd and Valeria Reid Cadd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bishop; her four sisters; three brothers; and best friends, Ebia and Woodrow Cox. Kathleen was a retired secretary from Glenn L. Martin Aircraft. She is survived by a foster son, Paul Wagner, of San Antonio, Texas; her special niece and caregiver, Dora Howell and husband, Bill, of Troutville; and other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her special caregivers, Mary and Ollie Witt, of Bedford County, and Berkshire Healthcare (Unit 1), for all their loving care and concern during her illness. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009, in Glade Creek Cemetery, Blue Ridge, Va. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.

Kathleen, was a wonderful woman, our family spent many hours with her. My mother Eleanor Cadd and Aunt Virgie Cadd had a regular circle going by telephone in their later years. Kathleen kept track of all our children and gave us alot of insight to the years past from our familes.
