Darlene Yates Obituary

Darlene Virginia Yates, 62, passed away at her home in Tazewell, Va. She is survived by her husband, Roger W. Yates, of Tazewell, Va.; her daughter and son-in-law, Sherri Renee Smith and Shane, of Tazewell, Va., and daughter, Katherine Kimberly Yates and son-in-law, Shannon Neal of Radford, Va.; four grandchildren, Corey Wimmer, Autumn Wimmer, Kole Smith, Raven Jade Neal; her mother, Katherine Bailey, of Carrollton, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Authur Bailey and Kay, of Shawsville, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra Joyce Sorrell and Roy, of Carrollton, Va. Darlene was a good Christian lady who loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. The family will receive friends at Horne Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2009. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor David Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, Va. The Yates family is being served by Horne Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to www.hornefuneralservice.com.
