Lena Smith Obituary

Lena Holt Smith, 94, of Rocky Mount, Va., died Friday, June 19, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Jim Holt; brothers, Frank, Sam, Mabry, Zach, and Bernard Holt; sisters, Clara Webb, Roxie Bowles, Essie Dobyns; husbands, Napoleon Smith and James Artis Smith; and son, Bernard Byrd Smith. Surviving are her daughter and son-inlaw, Laura and Glenn Weaver; grandsons and wives, Brian and Hannah Weaver, Scott and Jennifer Weaver, and Jeremy and Crystal Weaver; and greatgrandchildren, Rebekah, Samuel, Andrew, Garrett and Graham. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2009, from Flora Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jason Bryant and Mrs. Anne Snead officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooper Family Cemetery, Callaway. Her family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount, Va. www.florafuneralservice.com
