I was deeply saddened to read that Jim Carleton passed away recently. I was a student at Northwestern between 1974-78, involved in numerous student organizations. I had the pleasure of working closely with Jim for several years. Even though that was more than 30 years ago, I have very vivid and fond memories of his warmth, concern and fairness. I know that NU was very fortunate to have him as VP of Student Affairs and my life is richer for having known him. I hope the knowledge that he touched so many young people’s lives will be of some comfort to you and your family at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
