Lillian Bradley Obituary

Lillian Kirby Bradley, 84, of Salem, Va., died Monday, June 22, 2009. She was born in Paint Bank, Va., daughter of the late William D. and Lillian McCaleb Kirby. Mrs. Bradley worked for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company as an operator, and was the secretary of First Christian Church in Salem where she was also an active member. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jesse G. Bradley Jr.; three sons and daughters-in-law, David B. and Kirsten Bradley, Steven K. Bradley and Casey Morehouse and Craig J. and Debbie Bradley; two brothers, Roscoe D. Kirby and William K. Kirby and his wife, Judy; sister, Wanda K. Walrond; four grandchildren, Carrington Bradley and his wife, Kathy, Alexandra B. Keller and her husband, Brad, and Robert Bradley and Carroll Bradley; and one great-granddaughter, Sinclaire Lan Bradley. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with the Rev. Topper Franke and the Rev. Dan Netting officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem, Va.
