Mildred Smith Ingram

Mildred Smith Ingram, 81, of Roanoke, Va., died on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. She was born on September 25, 1927, in Roanoke. She was preceded by her husband of 50 years, Elvin H. Ingram; her only daughter, Sharon Ingram Hambrick; her brothers, C. Milton Smith and Robert Smith; and her brother-in-law, R.H. Waggoner III. She is survived by her sons, Robert and Peggy Ingram, John and Donna Ingram, Kenneth Ingram, and Van and Tonya Ingram. Also surviving are grandchildren, Joey Ingram, Thomas Ingram, Andy Ingram, Phillip Ingram, Chanda Ingram, Justin Ingram, Carrie Hambrick Knox, Michael Hambrick, Tanner Ingram and Grace Ingram; and greatgrandchild, Abbey Ingram. She is also survived by her sisters, Evelyn Smith Campbell and husband, Ralph, and Linda Smith Waggoner; and sistersin-law, Lois Smith, Pat Smith, and lrma Ingram Elliott. The Ingram family appreciates the kind care provided by Pheasant Ridge Memory Care Center and Roanoke Memorial Hospital's SICU and 10 West. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, at Oakey's South Chapel with Dr. Kevin Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Oakey's South Chapel.
