Anthony Pennino Obituary

Anthony J. (Tony) Pennino, 86, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009. Tony served in the United States Navy during World War II. After his honorable discharge he worked for over 40 years for Elizabeth Arden in New York and Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ellen Claire; and daughter-in-law, Maria Elizabeth. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Helen; and five children and their families, Dorothy and Michael Anderson, of Stafford, Va., Thomas Pennino, of Charlotte, N.C., Lawrence and Judy Pennino, of Roanoke, Va., Paul and Stacy Pennino, of Hilliard, Ohio, and Raymond and Sarah Pennino, of Roanoke, Va.; and 10 grandchildren, Paul, Michael, Phillip, Kristen, Tony, Loren, Kelly, Eric, Rachel, and Mary Catherine. A Funeral Mass will be conducted 10 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009, at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph P. Lehman officiating. The family will receive friends before the Mass in the Chapel from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
