Though I did not have the opportunity to meet you in person, I feel as though I lost a wonderful Grandmother too. The greatness that the family speaks of you with, warms my heart and assures me that you were an amazing person that accomplished amazing triumphs. Mom I miss you and feel an emptiness in my heart to know you are not here anymore, But I know you have no pain now and can watch over all 8 of us children and unknown amount of Grand & Great grandchildren, We miss you terribly.

I was looking forward to visiting Mary when we arrived in Virginia. Wish we had more time to visit. God changes our plans though and, I know it's for the better. I could always depend on Mary to lend me an ear and she always had comforting words for me. I will miss her greatly. Till we meet again.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same.It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.You left us peaseful memories.Your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
