Luther Bolt Obituary

Elder Luther Mason Bolt, 101, a lifelong resident of Floyd County, Va., went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 5, 2009. He was a lifelong resident of Floyd County, and was an Elder of the Primitive Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter M. Bolt and Ingledove Moles Bolt; his wife, Bertha Boyd Bolt; a son, Luther Edward Bolt; sisters, Edith Webb, Bertie Kemp, Gertrude Huff, and Magdalene Slusher; and a brother, Kermit Bolt. Mr. Bolt was also preceded by a grandson, Preston Mitchell. Survivors include his children, Buel (Marie) Bolt, Selma ""Arlene" Sutphin, Sylvia (Danny) Webb, and Lessie (Harvey) Conner; 15 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; and five greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Maberry Funeral Home in Floyd, with Elder Tim McGrady officiating and the Reece family singing. Interment to follow at Harris Cemetery in Willis, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, Va.
