Bertha Priscilla Barnhart

Bertha Priscilla Barnhart, 94, of Boones Mill, Va., passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009. She was born on April 4, 1915, a daughter of the late Henry and Odessa Mills Barnhart. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charley and Dan Barnhart; and sisters, Annie Wright, Sylvia LaPrade, Pearl Wright and Sallie Howell. She was the oldest member of Boones Mill Church of the Brethren where she attended the first service in 1925. Miss Barnhart retired from Cooper Wood Products. Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Rada and Galen Flora; special niece, Ann B. Minnix, who lovingly assisted Bertha for many years; and a host of other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009, from Boones Mill Church of the Brethren with Pastor Robert Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Church of the Brethren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boones Mill Church of the Brethren, 25366 Virgil H.
