Norma Saunders Obituary

Norma Saunders, 80, of Glasgow, Ky., and formerly of Vinton, Va., died Monday night, July 6, 2009, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Ky. Mrs. Saunders was born in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of the late Gustav and Jennie Buehler Heiber. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Saunders. She was a former elementary school teacher at E. Vinton Elementary School in Vinton, Va. Since moving to Glasgow three years ago, she has attended the St. Andrews Episcopal Church. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Elliott and husband, Wayne, of Glasgow; a son, Robert Saunders and wife, Wendy, of Muscat, Oman; two grandchildren, Jackson and Dakota Saunders; a sister, LaMora Tetreault, of Glasgow, Ky.; a brother, Robert Heiber, of Richmond, Va.; a nephew, Eric Heiber; and two nieces, Cynthia Kordac and Lynn Ellermeyer, all of Richmond, Va. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, Glasgow, Ky., 270-651-2080.
