Dear Howard,

The first time I met your mother was also the first time I met Lee and Peggy. I was just a bit nervous as we entered your mother's home, which turned out to be silly, because everyone was warm and friendly. It was my first impression of your family, and it has remained a lasting impression.

We bicycled from Draper to Foster Falls and then were too tired to return on two wheels. The cavalry (Lee and Peggy) showed up in the truck, and rescued us!

What I remember about your mother is that she was gentle and kind. My heart goes out to you and Peggy and Lee.
