Marie Altice Obituary

Marie Hall Altice of Rocky Mount, Va., passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2009. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Robert and Louise Hall; three brothers, Buford Hall, Nelson Hall, and Claude Hall; and one sister, Naomi Prillaman. She was a member of the Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Herman D. Altice; one son, Danny and wife, Vickie Altice; two grandsons, John Altice and wife, Leigh, of Falls Church, Va., and Jeffrey Altice, of Alexandria, Va.; two sisters, Coreene Young and Elizabeth Hartman; and her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Bumgardner, Lakeview Manor, Public Safety, The Red Valley Rescue Squad, a special lady, Janet Clements, and many others for their loving compassion during Marie's illness. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Mountain View Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Naff officiating. Her family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2009, at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main St., Rocky Mount. wwwflorafuneralservice.com
