Nadine Mullins Obituary

Mrs. Nadine Jarrett Mullins, of Largo, Florida, formerly residing at 1902 Carlton Rd. SW, Roanoke, Virginia, died August 2, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late Billy Mullins, who died September 16, 1989. Born April 5, 1925 in Martinsville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Billie Morris Jarrett and the late Gertrude Craig Jarrett, of Martinsville, Virginia. She was deputy clerk of the Circuit Court of Henry County, Va. before moving to Roanoke in 1948. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where she taught kindergarten in Sunday school for over 30 years. Surviving are her daughter, Gwen Mullins Hartwell and her son-in-law, James "Eddie" Hartwell, of Largo, Florida; and granddaughter, Michelle "Nicole" Hartwell, of Largo, Florida. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Gerald Carter officiating. A short reception will be directly following the service at Second Presbyterian Church. Interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Martinsville, Virginia, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.

Dear Gwenn, Eddie and Nicole, we are deeply sorry for your loss. What a lady Nadine was. We enjoyed seeing her and hearing stories of her life with your dad, Gwenn. She will be missed but she's having a wonderful time in heaven now. God Bless
