Dorothy Caroline Connolly

Dorothy Caroline Connolly, 82, of Goodview, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 6, 1927, a daughter of the late Gunnar Ahlgren and Marie Carlson Ahlgren. She worked with her husband in the family business for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Michael F. Connolly. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Lynn Serrell and husband, Richard, of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Debbie Buccola and husband, Dom, of Goodview; seven grandchildren, Christine Buccola, Brian Buccola and his wife, Kelly, all of Goodview, Jennifer Sloan and her husband, Douglas, Kathryn Serrell, Elizabeth Serrell and Peter Serrell, all of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Daniel Serrell and his wife, Aimee, of Zanesville, Ohio; six great-grandchildren, Gage, Jamison, Benjamin, Julia, Christian and Julia; and her brother, Larry Ahlgren and his wife, Marjorie of Marshfield, Mo. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2009, at Resurrection Catholic Church with Pastoral Coordinator Chris Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2009, at Resurrection Catholic Church, Moneta.
