Jimmy was such a fine man, full of joy, encouragement and thoughtfulness. He served Smyth County well, along with my father, Walter Murray. We remember camping days with the green school bus at Myrtle Beach. May you know God's comfort and strength during this difficult time.

Jimmy was a fine gentleman. Any of the lawyers and court personnel who worked with him will confirm that. My wife and I got to know him when I was still in law school. He was always kind, gracious and cheerful. Our deepest sympathies to the family.

I have only had the pleasure of hearing about this beloved man through his son, Mark Warren. Through Mark, I've heard of his unconditional love for his family; his loyalty to his community; and his unwavering faith in his Lord.

It's always hard to loose such a beloved man, and never easy to understand the question why. However, as a Pastor once explained to me, ...

"When we loose a loved one so dear to our hearts, it is like we are standing on the shoreline watching our loved one sail away on a giant ship, leaving us to go to the other side. And as we stand there, with heavy hearts crying out in grief, we hear ourselves saying, "Look, there he goes."

However, on "the other side" of the shoreline, loved ones are standing, waiting to greet him with tears of joy flooding the gates of heaven. With full hearts and open arms, they cry out in sheer happiness, "Look, here he comes!"

Take comfort knowing that one day, when the Lord calls you home, this "angel of a man" will be one of the many standing there, with open arms, ready to heartily embrace you again! Until then, he watches protectively over you with a better view.

My heart, my prayers and my thoughts are with all of you. May God Bless you all, and may He hold you close in His arms when you are in need of his comforting & loving embrace.

Love,
Michele
