A passion for music and a commitment to excellence. That is what I remember about Carolyn. I can't think of Carolyn without wanting myself to be better at whatever I am doing. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

Inseparable as teenage girls are, Carolyn and I shared our High School Band and Chorale years. Together we played instruments, we sang, we marched, we roomed at Band Camp, we were silly and mischievous, and we felt enormous pride for our music. Through all of it, we’d giggle and laugh like no other teenage girls could. To this day, I cannot think of Carolyn without smiling and laughing. My heart and thoughts go to all the lives she has touched with her music and laughter.
