Iris Beebee Wright Johnson

Iris Beebee Wright Johnson, 78, of Troutville, Va., went peacefully to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Rudolph Kennett; mother, Minnie Kennett Willis; step father, Charlie Willis; and a late husband, James (Jim) Wright. Iris was a real estate agent for Campbell Reality. Surviving are her devoted husband of 30 years, Jerry Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Joy Wright, and Kim (KP) and Donna Wright; special daughter, Mitzi Kelly; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Sam Helm, all of Roanoke; grandsons, Jason (Katie) Wright, of Richmond, and Christopher Wright, of Roanoke; granddaughters, Patra (Jimmy) Philpott, Justin (Mark) Dudley, and Chelsea Helm, all of Roanoke; her precious, precious greatgrandchildren, Korie, Tray and Maxx Philpott, and Emily and Lauren Dudley and a soon to be expected great-grandchild; a very close cousin, like a sister, Pauline (Polly) Newman; step children, Judith Ann Hayden, of West Palm Beach, Fla., Jamie Sue Grisso, of Roanoke, and Jeffrey Johnson, of Spokane, Wash.; and her precious animals, Sassy and KC. Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel. Pastor Jim Reeves will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
