PRAISE THE LORD!
To the Perdue Family,
I am so sorry to hear about
Mrs. Evelyn. I haven't seen Mrs. Evelyn is years. My sister Sharon Kay called me on last night and told me the news. The first thing I remembered was her coming to our house right up the street from where she lived on Dupree St., in the Lincoln Terrace projects to get her hair fixed by my Mom "Mrs. Blanche Caldwell" who also has gone on to Glory. She was crazy about my little brother "Buddy". She would always have the Big Bright Wonderful Smile on her face. Our Heavenly Father call her home for the task He has planned for her to do there. I am so thankful to have known Mrs. Evelyn. Very beautiful person. Your family are in my prayers.
God Speed,

My prayers goes out to the Perdue Family and you have my deepest sympathies in the Homegoing of your Mother. I would like to quote this passage and hope that it will bring some comfort to you and your family. What moves us is a silence, a quite sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we began to remember not just that you died, but you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. Submitted my the friends and co-workers of Sharon Bolden at Jacksonville Naval Air Station.
