Clarence Lynn 4Feathers Clark obituary, Virginia, VA

Clarence Clark Obituary

He never met a stranger and loved talking to people. He had a heart of gold. He loved to play jokes and kid around. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, holding many citations with the State of Virginia. He enjoyed racing at Natural Bridge Speedway for many years, when he had the money, and later enjoyed watching from the sidelines and giving advice to the drivers when he could and talking to the fans. He was a member of the Monaccan Indian Tribe. He lived his life dedicated to his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, who loved their Papa "Poppie". He spent many months at the hospital nursing his son back to health from a disabling accident and many days with his infant grandson from surgery.
He is survived by his wife, Sonja Henson Clark, of 29 years marriage and 31 years together; his 25 year old son, Jeremy Lynn Clark and wife, Katina; his 23 year old son, Joshua Galen Clark; his grandchildren, Skye-lena Montgomery, Rayna Clark, and Logan Clark; his parents, Lucy and Junior Clark; his sister, Robin Clark and husband, Mark; special nieces, Michaela Lynn and Morgan; sister-in-law, Sheray Potter and family, of Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Prof. Shaun Henson and family, of England, and Stefan Tomlin and family, of Buena Vista; father-in-law, Marshall Henson and wife, Kitty, of Charlottesville; and mother-in-law, Phyllis Cash and husband, Ron, of Buena Vista; his very special "brothers", Reggie Wilkerson, Mickey Hostetter, and Jeff McCormick; also a very special uncle, Roger Clark; and aunts, Carrie Mason and Naomi Nuckols; and many, many more aunts, uncles, friends and family and wonderful neighbors.
Special thanks to the people who tried to save his life at the hospital and rescue services. God Bless you. Everyone and everything was special to Lynn. He saw the angels coming, called out to his wife he loved her and went up into heaven. May he rest in peace and suffer no more until they can be together again.
The family night will be held at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1702 Chestnut Ave., Buena Vista, on Monday, August 24, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. and a memorial service held the next day at the same place on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lynn Clark Memorial Fund at Bank of Botetourt in Lexington, Va., c/o Robin Hartless. Arrangements by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington, Va.

Thanks so much to everyone who is signing in. I miss him so much. This should help you all remember to love one another the way lynn and i did. i will never get over this. he was like a part of my body. I am so grateful to everyone for checking on us. We are going through a lot of bad stuff and lynns heart just couldnt bear it. He was my best friend. He told me he loved me and i told him i loved him just before he died. Thank god for that few moments. Please remember us in prayers there is some cancer in my daughter in law and she will receive cancer treatments and our 2 month old grandson needs a specialist for his heart intestines and liver. They are doing a liver biopsy possibly. Lynns heart was not able to take the pressure. We are having a hard time dealing with this . He would cry every day but i know he is smiling down from heaven now . All his friends came to see him off and talk about him and thank god for each and every one of you.God Bless you and thanks to those who donated money. I will be in surgery in a week and we will need to keep gas in our cars for all these trips to hospitals and doctors. God Bless you...

Lynn was a great person and he will be missed greatly. I enjoyed working with him at Schweles. I swear we did more joking around and cutting up then we did work. I also enjoyed racing with him...even though we didn't see eye to eye on some of the bumping and rubbing that happened...but we had fun.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I worked with Lynn when I was in college and many of the important lessons I learned from him have helped me throughout my career. I remember several occasions when Lynn an I finished our work and pulled off the road to drop a line in the river. I feel privelaged to have known him and to call him a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

I will remember Lynn always as a wonderful caring man that told me wonderful stories about his family! He knew we shared some of the same life stories and somehow made then seem not so challenging! We were all fortunate to know such a wonderful man! I live in NC now, and feel grateful to have found his obituary! God be with his family and God Bless all who were lucky enough to know Lynn!
