I was looking at some old pics and saw all the pics of me and "Little Carl" as I always called him. Just googled his name and was devastated to see this. I adored him and our families had amazing bonds as did Carl and myself. I am sending my deepest heartfelt sympathies. I loved Little Carl - so many amazing memories of this boy!

Dear Lynn and family,

I was saddened to hear today of Carl's sudden death. We were "old" friends of the 60's and 70"s. He and "Big Carl" taught me to water ski at Lake Norman. Carl will be remembered as so kind, loving and great sense of humor.

My parents, Harry and Lois Myers, send their sympathies also. May you feel the love of the Lord as you deal with your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Lynn:

We remember when you, Carl, and the girls first moved to Oakview Dr, Lexington. You all were good neighbors. We last saw Carl several months ago at one of the fast food establishments with his golfing buddies. We always enjoyed talking to Carl and know he will be missed.

Dear Lynn:

I heard of Carl's passing through friends in Winston-Salem. Carl and I enjoyed many summers playing tennis at Forsyth Country Club and skiing on Lake Norman. Even though I have been in the New York area for many years now, I often think of the years in Winston-Salem. Both of my daughters have attended Wake Forest, so my visits to them always bring back memories of my own youth.

Carl was a fine person and good friend, and I am sure he was a wonderful husband and father. His sense of humor and love of life were second to none.

Best wishes to you and your children.

We have such fond memories of Carl in his younger days spending time with our family. The Stewart family was so cordial to include my brother Tom in so many of their lake events. He was almost another brother to me. He and Tom spent so much time together, esp. Demolay. We are so sorry to read of his death in the newspaper today. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. He will be greeted by our mutual friend, Lee, as he enters heaven's gates along with his adoring parents. Our love, Mary Joyce Beard and the rest of the Harry Joyce family in Winston-Salem, NC
