Marshall Lowry Obituary

Dr. Marshall Estus Lowry, 82, of Moneta, Va., died on Monday, August 24, 2009, in the V.A. Medical Center. He was born on August 9, 1927, in Plymouth, Mich., a son of the late Estus Albert Lowry and Jeanette Burrows Lowry. Dr. Lowry was a retired Anesthesiologist and a member of the American Osteopathic Association. He also served in the United States Navy during World War II. In addition to his parents, Dr. Lowry was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Mosher. He is survived by five children, Dr. Mark Estus Lowry and his wife, Deborah, of Castro Valley, Calif., Michelle Edwards and her husband, Steve, of Knoxville, Iowa, Tara Lowry, of Charlotte, S.C., Shana Cortright, of Charlotte, S.C., and Marshall Estus Lowry III, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two brothers, Dr. Robert W. Lowry and his wife, Salley, of Palm Coast, Fla., and David J. Lowry, of Moneta, Va. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Southfield, Mich. I am so very sorry I did not get to meet my dear cousin and WW 2 Veteran before he passed away. I will say many prayers for him and make a donation in his memory to the D-Day Memorial in Bedford. Ann Talbot Roberts
