David Gautier Obituary

David Gautier Sr. of Radford, Va., and formerly of Giles County, Va., departed this life Monday evening, September 7, 2009 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Radford. Born in Giles County on November 7, 1941, he was a son of the late Willie Ballard and Ercelle Odessa Davis Gautier. He was retired from production work at Corning Glass Works in Blacksburg and was a member of the Montgomery County Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Beulah Martin and Edna Martin; his brothers, Buster Gautier, Willie Gautier Jr., Richard Gautier, Dan Gautier, and Rufus Gautier; and a sister-in-law, Fran Gautier. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 43 years, Phyllis Collins Gautier; his sons and daughters-in-law, David Jr. and Patty Gautier, of Radford, and Timothy and Melissa Gautier, of Radford; his daughters and son-in-law, Missy and Greg King, of Salem, and Pam Loan, of Radford; his brothers, Bill Gautier, of Pearisburg, and Bobby Gautier, of Rich Creek; his sisters, Lois Wiekle, of Rich Creek, Nancy Meredith, of Pearisburg, Shelley Spicer, of Narrows, and Barbara Gautier, of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Timothy A. "Bo" Gautier Jr., Cody Aaron Loan, Kayla Marie Gautier, Katelyn Nicole Gautier, and Lucas King; his stepgrandchildren, Shannon Lynn Viers, and Carol Beth Jones; his stepgreatgrandchildren, Jacob Matthew Viers and Braylen Levi Jones; and his special buddy, his dog, Jenny. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Mike Bond and Pastor Jim Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, September 10, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to kendallfuneralhome.com.
