Jan, Lisa & Lauren,

David & I just learned about Dave's passing. We are shocked and so very sorry. I will always remember the first time I brought David over to your house to see Lisa. There was Dave, 20 years later and not looking a day older. We talked about what a small world it truly is!

Please know that you are in our thoughts & prayers, and may the Lord comfort all of you during this difficult time.

Take care and God bless,
Terri Rounds & David Ashwell

I just found out about Dave's passing and I can't tell you how sad I am. I workd with Dave at IBM in the field for eight years and later on, he took care of our equipment at a local Lynchburg company. He was a great guy and I enjoyed him very much. I always was glad to see him and he always had a good and kind air about him. I am so very very sorry for your loss.

As anyone who ever met your Dad knows, he brought a calmness and endearing happiness where ever he went. He always spoke so lovingly and proudly of you all.

Jan/Lauren/Lisa,
I will miss David a great deal not only for his computer expertise, but also for his witty, jovial personality; his genuine fact-of-the-matter brotherly advice; sincere friendship; his caring and kind nature; and, never to be forgotten, his wonderful cooking (especially his famous whopper-size dinner roles). I will be there for you three, so let me know if you need anything. I attached a picture of David holding TJ Feb 2008...David really loved the little ones...and they loved him! With lots of love, Brother/Uncle Tim

I am so sad to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with him at IBM for many years teaching classes together and seeing him at IBM seminars and always was glad to see him. He always greeted me warmly with a big smile and hearty handshake. I share in the grief of his passing. My prayers go with you and your family.

Sincerely,
Gary G. Smith

Jan, I'm so sorry to hear this sad news! It's been years since I've seen either one of you but still count you as friends from days gone by. Dave was such a great guy, always had a smile on his face and I was always happy and relieved when it was him coming to our rescue to fix whatever ailed the printer or system. Will be praying for God's comfort and peace for you and the girls.

Oh Jan, Lauren & Lisa!! I am so, so very sorry to hear this. I cannot believe it. I am so saddened by this news. I have so many good memories of Dave. From the time the two of you first met, through the births of both daughters, the times we shared dinner together, the times I baby sat for you, the many times he serviced the IBM machines for the places I worked, fixing my VCR when it didn't work to fun things like helping him mow the yard. So many good memories that he was a part of. He was a wonderful man! Helpful, giving and so very loving and proud of his family. He was a very proud Grandpa as well. Dave was just a all round terrific guy! I will surely miss him; his sense of humor and his simle. My prayers are with you all! I pray Gods deepest comfort and abundant love for all of you during this sad time. I love you all so much!
