White Cuneo Obituary

White L. Cuneo, 70, of Glade Hill, Va., passed away Friday, September 18, 2009. He was born September 1, 1939, to the late Hudson and Ruth White Cuneo. Mr. Cuneo retired from the United States Army and was a welder for 50 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Dent Cuneo; brothers, Harry, Watson, Otis, Gene, Marcus and Simon Cuneo; sisters, Gracie Mayberry, Nora Moore, Gertrude Cuneo and Annie Cuneo; one stepson, Randy Dwayne Fralin. Surviving are children, Chuck Cuneo and wife, Cindi, Dennis Cuneo and wife, Dee, Penny Ford and husband, Al, Danny Cuneo; stepchildren, Glenwood Robertson, Timmy Fralin and wife, Tracey, Twyla Dillon and husband, Gary; eight grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch ConnerBowman Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Bill Doss officiating. Interment will follow in the Dent Family Cemetery. His family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lynch ConnerBowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount, Va., www.lynch connerbowman.com.

I just want everyone to know that I wish I could have been at home during this time. White “Pops” was a great man, and I will forever cherish the time I had with him. He was always loving and caring and would be there for anyone if they needed him. He was a true example of what a father and grandfather should be. I love you and miss you. Brandon
