June Ferguson Obituary

June S. Ferguson, 78, formerly of Marion, Va., passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009 in the Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. She was born in Cape Town, South Africa to the late Harold and Rae Sers-Brown. June was raised in London, England. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hoover Ferguson. In London she was a professional ballet and can-can dancer. She was of the Catholic Faith and had resided in Virginia Beach for the last two years. June was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by, her son, James Keith Ferguson, Virginia Beach, Va.; her granddaughter, Jamie Marie Mann and husband, Shane, Virginia Beach, Va.; her two great-grandchildren, Madisyn and Caleb Mann; several nieces and nephews; a host of other loving friends and family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Father Paul Maier officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is serving the Ferguson family.
