Joe Warren Smith

Joe Warren Smith, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2009. He was born in Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Della Smith. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Lee Smith; his children, Terry Fryer and husband, Mark, of Alabama; Barbara Petersen and husband, Arthur, of Kentucky; a stepson, Curtis Russell Decker and wife, Jennifer; stepdaughter, Pamela Jane Hahn and husband, Ray; his grandchildren, Ashley, Blake and Bailey Daniel; Kelly, Brandon and Bryan Decker and Raychel Hahn; his brothers, Bobby Smith, of Spartansburg, N.C., and Paul Smith, of Salem, Va. Joe was a member of Local #100 Sheet Metal Construction for 41 years. He was employed by Roanoke Times and Stritesky's Flower Shop during his retirement years. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 26, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel with Pastor Ben Mewald of Christian Life International Church officiating.
