Lucy Johnson Obituary

Lucy Mae Ferguson Johnson, 80, of Blue Ridge, Va., passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009. She was a longtime member of Blue Ridge Church of the Brethren. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Heike Johnson; two grandchildren, Erik Johnson and wife, Christina and Cindy Rice and husband, Brian; greatgrandson, Luke Johnson; sisters, Nancy Jordan and Betty Wandell and husband, George; brothers, David Ferguson and wife, Betty and Grover Ferguson and wife, Sue; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Pastor Glenn D. Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel and Crematory, 982-2221.

Dear Aunt Lucy,
You will be greatly missed in body, but always with us in spirit. My memories of you are of an always very warm, sweet and gentle loving lady who made me feel special. I have always been proud to call you my aunt. Heaven was blessed when you joined them.
