Elsie Sloan Obituary

Elsie Mae Kingery Sloan, 77, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Thursday, September 24, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Sloan, parents, Woody and Jenny Kingery, and her brother, John Arnold Kingery. Surviving Elsie is one sister, Kathleen Kingery King; a very special niece, Margie Kingery Byrd, who was Elsie's caretaker and best friend; also two other nieces, Teresa Kingery Thomas and Dana Kingery Pritt. The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Dianne Wiggins for her care of Elsie. The graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009, at the Bandy Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Gardner officiating.
