Patrick Costa Obituary

Patrick Anthony Costa, 84, of Troutville, Va., born March 3, 1925, and a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., died on Sunday morning, September 27, 2009, after a short, hard battle with cancer. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy and participated in the D-Day invasion on Omaha Beach. His wife, Marina; parents, Joseph and Lillian; brother, Joseph; sister, Lillian; children, John and Geralyn, and wife, Jennie preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Helen Nastro and her husband, Joseph; sister, Jacqueline Cacciatore; his children, Patrick and Ann Costa, Dolores Costa and Diane Nugent and Mike Halupa; and grandchildren, Jeffrey Costa, Fallon Nugent, Breanne Nugent, Tracy Costa and Padriac Nugent. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 540-254-3000.
