Sleeping nice & sound, quiet as a mouse, nice & snug w/ my son by my side
The phone begins to ring way to early, I hear the woman speak & swears she just lied-
My daddy just passed away, he wasn't breathing anymore, he was no longer here-
I had just left him the night before, wishing he would be ok, because if he wasn't that was my biggest fear-
He was and is my biggest hero, he worked so hard for everything he had-
Now I'm left with those things that he got but left feeling so sad-
How do you make it when you loose your dad, does it get any easier does the pain fade-
No, I doubt it does, I just have to remember now he has it made-
He gets to fish with my sister who went to be with the Lord last year-
He gets to finally sit down, relax, and have a beer-
No more doctors, no more needles, no more cancer, just a fantastic feeling of energy and life
I know the hardest part for him is missing his wife-
Yes, God took my father from me yesterday, and I'm so angry I could kill-
And Yes Daddy, all those things you told me to do, don't worry I've got it covered, because it was your will

I just recently met Mr. Jones and had a brief ride and conversation with him. He was sweet and precious. I am sorry for your loss.
