Frederick Bluey Muse

On Saturday, October 3, 2009, Frederick Bluey Muse, of Roanoke, Va., our beloved Bluey, departed this life, surrounded by his devoted wife, children, sister, family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father and mother, the late James Henry and Myrtle Finney Muse; his brothers, Willie "Bus," William Earlie, Curtis "Nookie" and Samuel Wayne Muse; and sister, Nancy Muse. He leaves to cherish his memory, a very loving wife and extraordinary care giver, Geraldine Basham Muse; three daughters, Janice Jones, Deborah Williams and Cynthia Smith; two stepsons, James Chapman and Ralph Chapman Sr.; his grandchildren, Stevisha and Stephen Vaughn Jr., Jabenique Brown, Tymon Smith, and LaShy Jones; greatgrandchildren, Jania Vaughn and Amaria Jones; step grandchildren, Tiesha Chapman, Jameako Chapman and Ralph Chapman Jr.; great-great-grandson, DaMarian Perdue, all of Roanoke, Va.; sister, Queen Muse Townes, of Portsmouth, Va.; sistersin-law, Ola Muse, Corlee Taylor and Alice Motley, all of Roanoke, Va.; brothers-in-law, Charles Sr. (Lou Jane) Basham, of Roanoke, Va., Clyde Sr. (Lynda) Basham, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Ralph, Wallace and Wendell Price, all of Roanoke, Va.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends, including the Witcher, Cook and Moore families, of Penhook, Va. The Homegoing Celebration Service will be held noon on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Maple Street Baptist Church with Elder Samuel T. Thompson officiating and the Rev. Dr. Charles R. Calloway Sr., Pastor and eulogist. The interment will be in C.C. Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
