Matthew Ridgaway Obituary

Matthew Todd Ridgaway, 28, of Max Meadows, Va., passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009. He was born in Wythe Co., Va. on January 26, 1981. He was a Supervisor with Ridgwood Contractors, Inc., a Deans List Student at Everglades University and is survived by his wife, Britni S. Ridgaway; his loving companions, Scooby and Jax; father, Matthew W. Ridgaway, of Max Meadows; mother, Deedra W. Crouse; sisters, twin sister, Brandi King and husband, Timothy, Sidney Pugh; niece and nephew, Madelyn and Mason King; grandparents, Roy and Mary Williams, all of Rural Retreat, Va., Thomas N. Ridgaway, of Manassas, Va., Jane Lee Ridgaway, of Wytheville, Va.; father-in-law and mother-inlaw, Tom and Connie Seagle, of Rural Retreat, Va.; brotherin-law, Heath Seagle, of Stephens City, Va.; close friends, Zack Stamper and Darren Simons. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009, at the Rural Retreat High School Auditorium with the Rev. Dennis Turley officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Tom Seagle, 176 Sunset View Road, Rural Retreat, Va. following the memorial service. The family requests that those who prefer, may make memorials to the Pulaski County Humane Society. Lindsey Funeral Home, Rural Retreat, Va. is in charge of arrangements.

Darrin and I are so sorry for your loss. Todd was a great person and he will be missed. Darrin always had such great things to say about Todd everytime he worked with him. dear britni, im timothy's mom. it is making me sick this pain you are feeling. brandi is having a hard time. i'd imagine yours is worse. there is nothing i can say or do, except call or let me know if you need help. it wasnt fair. timothy can maybe help you too, i only hope i can help him. he was todd's friend before he was brandi's husband. you can also call my dad, he is your dad's friend too. i'm so sorry sweetheart

I cannot express to you how truly sorry I am that you must endure this pain. Please know that only time will heal your heart. I know you will never forget him nor his smiling face.
