Joan Diane Dodson

Joan Diane Dodson, 53, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009. She was born to the late Elizabeth and John Dodson on December 19, 1955. Those left to cherish her memory are her adopted son, David Dodson, of Southington, Conn.; one brother, James Dodson, of Beckley, W.Va.; five sisters, Aresia Johnson, of Norfolk, Va., Deloris Williams, of Cleveland, Ohio, Shirley Spencer, of Bluefield, Va., Christine Hamlet, of New Britain, Conn., and Jacqueline Brooks, of Roanoke, Va.; and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held noon on Friday, October 16, 2009, at Abundant Grace Assembly with the Bishop Winfred Hamlet officiating. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
