Paul Herbert Hodges

Paul Herbert Hodges, 77, of Rocky Mount, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 9, 2009. He was born on August 30, 1932, to the late William Edward Hodges and Lizzie Ann Hall Hodges Lynch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harry Lynch; son, Harry Wayne Hodges; brothers, Reggie C. Hodges and James E. Hodges; and nephew, Marlon B. Hodges. Surviving are sons, Gary Ray Hodges and wife, Bonnie, and Paul Michael Hodges and wife, Linda; daughter ,Debbie Rakes; 10 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; former wife and mother of his children, Janie Rutherford; special nephew, Ronnie "Rooster" Hodges; many other family members; and special friends at Cheryl's. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2009, from Lynch ConnerBowman Funeral Chapel with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
