John Harvey Obituary

John Willis Harvey Jr., 60, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2009. He was born on August 12, 1949, to the late John W. Harvey Sr. and Miriam Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Harvey and Winfred Wilson. Survivors included his brothers, Barbiel Wilson (April), of Hyattsville, Md., and Leslie Harvey, of Roanoke; sisters, Bessie Johnson, of Charlotte, N.C., Alice Brown, of Roanoke, Lorraine Brooks, of Hyattsville, Md., and Debora Flint, of Salem, Va.; sister-inlaw, Donna Harvey, of Roanoke; aunts, Alice Skinner, of Urbancrest, Ohio, and Mabel Harvey, of Buchanan; a special friend, Willie Bell Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2009, at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Adrian Dowell officiating. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Condolences may be sent to www.Hamlar-Curtis.com.
